Aggreko will power its seventh Ryder Cup this autumn hosted in Saint-Quentin en Yvelines, a suburb southwest of Paris
A team of 38 workers from the Glasgow-based company will be on-site for up to six months, spending 1,441 days on the installation, monitoring and decommissioning. The company has already agreed a similar deal for the 2022 tournament in Rome, Italy. This marks the seventh time Aggreko has been appointed by The Ryder Cup.
Aggreko will provide 23MVA of temporary power via 154km of cabling at the tournament. All facilities across the 6,700-plus meters 18-hole golf course will be powered by the super quiet diesel generators. This includes all the catering and hospitality, big screens and main Grand Stand. Up to 2,000 light fittings will also be provided throughout the site in both hospitality, safety and security behind the scenes.
