Marco Polo, the world’s largest container ship arrives in Britain this week carrying thousands of Christmas presents. The ship is reported to be five times bigger than an Airbus A380, or the equivalent size of four football pitches.
The huge vessel can carry more than 16,000 containers. The queen Mary 2 is dwarfed in comparison, as Marco Polo is 51 times longer than the superliner.
